On Saturday 18, SETAC held a workshop for young people organized by the Canadian non-profit society Center for Human Progress on sexual and reproductive health and HIV prevention. During the workshop coordinated by Dr. Ash Pachauri, director and founder of the Center for Human Progress, different play activities aimed at prevention were carried out where participants of different ages attended.
Dr. Pachauri explained that the areas in which the Center fot Human Progress is working particularly is the prevention and self-care of young people, in different communities, especially the LGBT community in problems such as health and human rights and in the interaction of both, in order to create projects and spaces for young people where their voices can be heard in favor of their rights and achieve a remarkable change.
This type of meetings are held in different regions worldwide and have been held in Africa, the United States, now is the time for Mexico, and then continue through China, with the goal of reaching as many places as possible.
The perspective in Mexico is important because it is a country where the health rights of people are violated more than in other countries and because it is an area of importance also for WHO.
At the end of the workshop the participants made an artistic expression painting on a canvas what emerged in that meeting.
