SETAC, Puerto Vallarta’s HIV/AIDS Community Center, began 2018 officially announcing its Ambassador Program, through which the non-profit organization hopes to strengthen ties with important community leaders. “The Ambassador Program’s goal is quite simple,” commented Paco Arjona, Executive Director. “We are looking to attract community members interested in becoming spokespeople for our mission and activities. In exchange, we endeavor to organize actions, programs and events that can fulfill our organization’s mission in the best way possible, such that the Ambassadors will spread word of our work with pride. In addition, the Ambassadors have the opportunity to propose activities as long as they are in alignment with our mission. As such, there are satisfactions and benefits for everyone.”
SETAC is a non-profit organization devoted to reducing HIV and other sexually transmitted infections in Jalisco’s coastal region and Banderas Bay, through education and behavior modification that encourages responsible sexual health decisions.
The Ambassador group meets every Wednesday at 6 pm at SETAC’s Community Center, located at Aldanaca 178-4A & 4B, at the corner with Viena, in Colonia Versalles. The only requisite to join the group is to attend a minimum of five meetings per trimester. For more information about the program, please email Paco Arjona, Executive Director, at [email protected].
